Quelques années plus tard la Coopérative Laitière de la Sèvre prit forme et créa la marque Sèvre & Belle productrice de beurre puis de fromages de chèvre, ainsi que sa marque premium Atelier de la Sèvre composée de 9 fromages de chèvre au lait cru et d’un fromage au lait de vache. Ces fromages sont fabriqués et affinés comme autrefois pour des consommateurs en quête d’excellence.

Ces produits sont fabriqués dans les Deux-Sèvres, dans notre laiterie située à Celles-sur-Belle, à 20 km de Niort.
L’ensemble de nos fromages sont réalisés avec des laits collectés toutes les 48 h auprès de nos 120 adhérents coopérateurs situés dans un rayon de 30 km autour de notre laiterie.
Après une maturation lente des laits, un moulage à la louche et un salage au sel sec, ces fromages bénéficient d’un post affinage en hâloir supervisé par un maître fromager.

The Joining of Sèvre & Belle and Echiré Cooperatives

In 1997, Echiré and Sèvre & Belle producers (a 100-year cheesemaker, globally famous for the quality of its cheese) decided to combine their energy in order to create the Quality Charter for Milk Production (la Charte de Qualité de Production du Lait). The aim of the charter was to improve food security and animal respect, in order to create a more positive image of the agricultural industry.

Most of all, the cooperative is commited to respect the environment and the transparency with its consumers. In fact, the cooperative is firmly dedicated to ensure the absence of GMOs in animal feed.

The end of 2004 saw the merger of La Laiterie Coopérative d’Echiré et la Coopérative Sèvre & Belle, giving rise to La Coopérative Laitière de la Sèvre.

Our cooperative collects all of our 100% non-GMO milk from within a 30km radius.

All of our producers are committed to producing 100% non-GMO milk, thanks to the healthy and 100% verified non-GMO food which they give to their animals. The respect we demonstrate towards our animals is essential to guarantee the quality of both our milk and our other products.

Qu’est-ce que l’IFS ?

This proximity allows us to keep our products fresh in order to ensure that our products are of a high quality. As our production site as Celles-sur-Belle is IFS certified, all of our products are guaranteed to be healthy.

IFS certification was implemented in 2003 in order to ensure the security of foodstuffs and to monitor the quality of products. This certification guarantees the security and quality of products for consumers. It is also responsible for community regulations relating to hygiene.

IFS certification was implemented in 2015 in Celles-sur-Belle, it certifies the production of pasteurised cheese and raw milk cheese.

Des fromages de qualité :

Our Montcoudray was presented with a gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole 2017. This cows milk cheese takes its name from the Coudray-Salbart Castle which sits atop a hill in the town of Echiré. This delicious cheese will surprise you with its texture and flavour.
